An Outstanding Development

The community have elected to sell a portion of their land to generate the income needed to build houses of the highest calibre for the returning residents of Protea Village. The design of these houses and those built in the adjacent residential estate will follow the same considered architectural guidelines to ensure a consistent aesthetic across the whole development.

Rebuilding Protea Village

The position and layout of Protea Village has been thoughtfully considered by the returning community, while the remainder of their land is divided between green belt, and the residential estate. Protea Village, situated on Erf 242, comprises 86 stands, each approximately 300m2 in size.

In a model that is set to be the first of its kind in urban land restitution in South Africa, Protea Village will fund and provide 86 houses to the Protea Village community. The project will generate revenue and create annuity income for the community that will enable them to sustainably maintain their homes and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
